"Well sure, this aint a hobby!" That's what a good friend responded with when asked to improve on something he was playing during a band rehearsal. Besides being impressed with his attitude, I thought, "Wow, boy are you ever right!". This aint no hobby! Lately, I've realized more than ever that jumping in with two feet into this business means exactly that! No getting cold feet either! No turnin back. I'm in it for the long haul now and I wanna take a sec to thank everyone who's supporting me so recklessly. I say recklessly because if you all were thinking about the odds and percentages, you'd know it's a long shot. But you're not :) You're believing in me and it means a ton!
August has been a very busy month behind the scenes. We're in the process of solidifying our publicity, radio tracking and booking teams and I'm very excited to be getting a single to US radio in the near future. I played a writer's night in Music City last week which was a blast - thanks again to Mad Donna's :)
A HUGE highlight and dream come true this month was getting the opportunity to work with the legendary Tom Jackson. He's a brilliant mastermind when it comes to putting your live show together and I'm pumped to do it again. Thanks Tom!! www.tomjacksonproductions.com
I've also been writing up a storm too which could result in some cuts in Korea. Crazy! Speaking of writing, if anyone is from the Calgary area, I try to attend the local NSAI meetings whenever I'm in town. They're super informative, not to mention useful and fun. Happy Canada Day and Independance Day everyone! I LOVE this time of year. It's so fun to do the parades and fireworks and be proud of where you come from. I hope everyone is having a blast and staying safe this first weekend of July :) This month, I'll be working on wrapping up the Flaming Red video and playing some Stampede shows. I hope to find some time to just get away and sit around a camp fire too!! Don't forget to come find me on twitter and say hey!!! Love to you all,

An incredibly busy month for me!!! We finished up a nationwide press release and are set to send that out at the beginning of July. A release date of Sept 20th has been set for my album Fit To Be Tied on EMG/Universal! And I'll be in Greensboro, NC for a few days shooting 2 music videos! We're super excited for the release of the single Flaming Red and the video to match! It's gonna knock your socks off!!! I'm keeping busy playing some local gigs and staying on top of things south of the border. We're also looking forward to partnering with High Country RV in a sponsorship relationship and organizing a number of multi-state tours for this fall. Looking so forward to CCMA week in the fall and whatever is still to come this summer! Hope you're all enjoying the warmer weather - get out and soak up the sun! :)

The months just seem to fly by and get busier each time! May saw a song that I had written become a Korean artist's next big hit (hopefully :)) with the potential for a few more to travel across the ocean. Coming up, you can look forward to a clip of my new single (which we alluded to last month,)"Flaming Red" on the website. I'm very proud and excited to share it with you :) Many thanks to Bob Carlisle and Dennis Patton for penning such an amazing tune that is already touching lives. We are getting a great response at radio too! Look out southeastern states, we're invading your airwaves!! Because of all that I'll be heading out at the beginning of next month to film the video for Flaming Red. There are many big things in the works, keeping life very, very busy but I wouldn't have it any other way. :) Thanks everyone for your continued support - check back soon!!!!"

We're super pumped to have just finished recording a BONUS TRACK for the record! Wait til you guys hear this song! It's written by a multi-platinum singer/songwriter who made our hearts melt over the airwaves a number of years ago. Here's a hint: it's gonna burn up the charts!
Already shaping up to be a fun month. Playing in Airdrie for a Haiti fundraiser helping those recovering from the earthquake. Lots of rebuilding going on down there!
